What Time Is It? It’s Giveaway Time!

By Mrs. Fields

A bell is no bell till you ring it.
A song is no song till you sing it.
Love in your heart wasn’t put there to stay…
And a blog isn’t a blog until you give stuff away!

It’s time to share a little love here at Mrs. Fields Secrets—specifically, some bite-sized love. Why? Because I’ve always believed the best way to make a new friend is to offer them a cookie. And I want to be your friend; I do, I do!

Today I am giving away one of my most scrumptious gifts, this fabulous basket filled with 100 Nibblers® bite-sized cookies in a variety of popular flavors. This bestseller is ideal for parties or meetings, and it’s the belle of the buffet table. The bite-sized portions make these cookies perfect for kids (and for adults who are compelled to sample multiple flavors). There isn’t an easier dessert to serve at a child’s birthday party; bridal and baby showers, too! And it’s a wonderful way to thank a host or hostess–the wicker basket is a gift in itself!

Those are a few of my ideas, but what about yours? If I know anything about the blogosphere, it’s that great ideas abound here. So, I’d love to know: Where would you serve a basket of 100 bakery-fresh Nibblers® bite-sized cookies?

Leave your idea in a comment and you’ll be entered to win one for yourself, shipped fresh to your doorstep! If you’re new around here and you don’t have a serving idea, leave a comment and say hello anyway—you’ll still be entered to win! (Comments must be received before midnight, September 17. Winner will be selected randomly.)

Good luck, my friends! (We are friends, right?)

Then we could use the basket to put magazines in on the table!

I have a lot of friends who are Muslim and there are two muslim holidays in the year where we have a large feast. I think it would be a great time to have a basket of 100 cookies. I actualy will be ordering some for the party that we are having on the 20th of this month. I would be a nice idea if you also had smaller packages especially for Eid holidays like the birthday gifts you offer.

Wanted to say hello – I am a ‘newbie’ to the blog! I also wanted to let you know that I’ve got several places I could serve a basket of nibblers – at an upcoming family party or to my husband’s co-workers at his work. But my first choice would probably be to serve them to the 30 ladies that currently live at the homeless shelter my husband and I volunteer at. They LOVE sweets and would appreciate a basket of goodies.

My husband is a Ms. Field fan. So much so, that we always have frozen Ms. Field cookie dough in our freezer. That way, he can cook himself up a small batch whenever the urge hits him. Usually bakes five at a time.

A basketful of bite-sized Nibblers would be the PERFECT treat for my 15-year-old daughter and the rest of her high-school cheerleading squad after one of their daily 6 a.m. practices! Can you imagine? Getting a bunch of 14-17 year-old girls up before daybreak? This would be such motivation for them and would start their school day off just right! Go! Fight! WIN!

I would send the nibblers basket to the Troy Police Department in Troy, MI. They were absolutely wonderful when me and my 2 sons came home to someone breaking into our home. They checked out the house before we could go in. They stayed the whole time with us and kept us posted on the suspect. The crime seen detective came and fingerprinted and swabed the blood and explained everything to the boys. The police came back later and told us that they caught her and she was in jail. My youngest son who is 10 years old is still having a difficult time with the whole thing and they explained to him that she will not get out of jail. They actually took the time out to talk to him. My family is very thankful that no one was hurt and our police department here in Troy care about all of us. They certainly all deserve the cookies for a job well done!

I think that for common gatherings: a house warming party is an awesome place to display one of these baskets. Everyone loves the smell of cookies. The guests would be delighted.

I think that something like this is perfect to give to someone after they have had a huge disaster as well. I sent a basket to one of my co-workers down in Houston last year after the flood hit. When I was talking to her, she was so down. They were without power for alsmost two weeks, and a lot of their belongings were ruined. When she returned to work, I sent her a cookie basket to share with the girls around her. They were so excited. You see, the stores were closed and no one was thinking about anything like that at the time. It was something so little, but it made a big difference to my co-workers…a cookie really does bring a smile to everyone’s face!!!

I have a son that has special needs and he goes to a very special school with very special and caring teachers. Everyday they help these children have hope and believe in themselves. I have never seen such a giving group of people. This is not a job to them, it is a lifestyle and I am touched by them. If I were to win this contest, I would have them sent to all the amazing teachers at the Valley View Special Education program for loving our kids everyday without restraint. Teachers really do share their hearts with their kids!! Thanks Teachers!!

I’m new here to the blog, but not to Mrs. Field’s! My daughter just moved to Texas so I have sent baskets for any reason I can think of, most recently her birthday. If I had a basket of Nibblers, however, I would take them to my women’s study group at church – who would appreciate sugar, butter, and chocolate more than a group of menopausal females?? Thanks for continuing to make such a great product.

Having a basket of these yummy delicious cookies would serve a few different scenarios for me. :) I would most likely take them into the office and share them with my coworkers for 4 reasons.
1. To announce and celebrate the birth of my little girl- just a couple days away! :)
2. It’d help make up for the mood swings that the pregnancy sometimes threw me into…
3. It’d help me plan to take over the world- one coworker at a time.Or at least get me invited to one of the after hours office parties for a change. :)
4. It’d promote world peace and it would help protect my computer from being hacked by the office IT prankster and putting weird docs and applications in the registry to pop up at just the wrong times.

But most likely, I’ll just order some and send them to my brother’s, sister’s and best friend’s families this Christmas- they’re all scattered across the country- and I haven’t seen them in years, but I think that this old favorite of ours will bring us closer together this holiday- even if only in spirit.

I would serve my basket of Nibblers at home for my three children and my husband. I have a twelve year old daughter that is ravished when she gets home from school. She would be very impressed with me having a few Nibblers for her. I have two cute toddlers at home (age 4 and 2) that would love those Nibblers that are the perfect size for their hands. Cookies are one dessert that my husband actually likes to eat. We would love to come home late one evening from work and have the Nibblers waiting!

Where would I serve 100 Nibblers? WOW — I think by the time *I* served them there may be only about 75 ..
Well.. we are planning a community block party in my small town of 3000 folks.. for Oct 31.. so instead of a Halloween trick and treat we are having treats for all.. a BBQ.. some punch and if we had Nibblers– well we would promise to share with anyone wanting a real treat that visits the street.. we sometimes get a dozen or so kids from the locak grade school…so far we have 90% of the residents participating.. uh that would be about 14 folks :-)

With job losses, furloughs, and a variety of challenging financial times.. we are endeavoring to have more local-neighborhood social times.. helps us appreciate what we do have …

Keep the recipes coming– I love the chocolate zucchini cake!!

I would serve the basket of Nibblers in one of two places. The first would be the 5th floor rehabilitation ward at Loyola Hospital. A friend had a stroke and is recovering there and it would be wonderful to reward all the workers on the floor and patients who work so hard toward their recovery. Second I would put them at Hickory Hills Park District on days Dance is run. The students could use an energy boost and the parents and teachers would love the little feeling of love that comes through when you bite into a Nibbler. Thanks so much for the wonderful contest.

My husband coaches a youth judo team in a small town in the middle of nowhere. However, we are blessed with a fine group of young athletes, ages 9-12, who decided to dedicate their summer to training for the Junior Olympics. Some trained over 40 hours a week! We incorporated judo and physical training along with dietary education – a couple of kids (aged 10!) lost over 20 pounds to compete at a more reasonable weight. They fought hard and the team brought home many gold medals. I think Nibblers would be a perfect reward after a tough three-hour practice, yet would still keep with the theme of moderation that promoted their success.

My office used to be a really fun place to work; they hosted quarterly employee mixers in addition to offering frequent employee incentives. But that was when the economy was good. Now, we’ve not a had a raise in two years or a function since the holidays in 2008. I frequently hear people talk about the little things that used to make working here great. I would like to share my cookies with my coworkers, and remind them that we can contribute to the little things and help restore positive morale.

In these economic times, I would take a basket of cookies to the local unemployment office and share them with both the people looking for a job and those helping them look for one. Where would I share 100 freshly baked Nibblers? With my family! My favorite memories of Mrs. Field’s cookies are from my Grandma’s house! She passed away recently at the age of 97. It was her favorite treat, and as she got older, I would send her some each holiday and birthday. She especially loved having freshly baked treats to share with visitors, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Now when I eat a Mrs. Field’s cookie, it reminds me even more of her! Now I would share a basket with my extended family, and reminisce about my grandma, and make new memories!

I would share them with my family. I would get some decorative bags according to the season, and equally divide them out into the bags, tie with a nice coordinating ribbon, and put them in the center of the dessert table, or at the door, and let the guest know to pick a sack for themselves on the way out.

I would be super selfish and eat half of them. My husband and daughter have Celiac Disease and can’t eat your cookies. So I rarely eat flour filled sweet treats, but your cookies are one of my weaknesses.
The other half Iwould send to my family hundreds of miles away from me.

This might seem weird, but I once had cookies delivered to a friend and his family in lieu of flowers when his father passed away. I knew they would be overwhelmed with flowers and there’s always a need for food when family is gathering, even for such a sad occasion. He later told me it was the best and most memorable delivery the received. Everyone loved the cookies, they helped in giving family and friends who came by the house something to nibble on, and they brought a smile to people’s faces during a sad time.

There are an asundry of places to see a savory basket of these delicious treats disappear. We have 8 children, 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. I doubt that I would get even one with this crowd around to visit and celebrate family. Instead of a covered dish at church, I’d share a basket of these goodies with the congregation at a potluck dinner; or the coffee time between church services. Either way, I’d have a lovely basket to use for a unique purpose after the cookies have disappeared.

If I were to win the basket o’ Nibblers, I would take them to work in hopes that their sweetness and chewy goodness would melt the heart of my boss, Mrs. Wicked Witch of the Pacific NorthWest. I am the darling underling of a difficult lady and I KNOW that if I could woo her with these little delights, her nasty heart would melt and her life would be happy and small woodland birds would attend to her every need.
(This would occur after eating ONE Nibbler.)

After her second Nibbler, she would then recognize what an amazing asset I am to her and the department. She would shed her nasty, outer, crusty self and we would skip, around the office, holding hands, spreading nummy Nibbler goodness around the rest of the office.

Yes…that is why I would like to win the basket o’ Nibblers.

I work in a call center where rep’s are on the phone daily dealing with customers. We sell services and upsell current customers. It becomes very frustrating talking for 8-10 hours. They would be great for my diet. I would put them on top of the refrigerator and be forced to jump (as I am short) to get to them. For every 5 hops it took to reach them I would get 1 cookie. So 10 hops = 2 cookies, 15 hops = 3 cookies, and so on…I believe in rewarding great effort. Your delicious regular sized cookies, however, go on top of my 42″ kitchen cabinets…talk about motivation!
