Quick Tip: Freeze Your Dough

By Mrs. Fields

Do you ever get home after a long day, pining for a warm treat but too exhausted to make it? I have a great tip that will not only save you time, but will make it easier to enjoy your own oven-fresh cookies anytime you want them.

Make batches of cookie dough in advance. Next time you’re making cookies, save half the dough for later. Or, double your recipe so that you have plenty of extra to save. Now here’s the really important part: form the cookies on a cookie sheet and put them in the freezer until solid (an hour or so will do). Then remove and pop them into a plastic bag, sealing it tightly. You now have solid little cookie dough discs ready and waiting! Keep them frozen until you’re ready to bake. Put them right into a pre-heated oven. You don’t need to thaw the dough before baking.

My favorite thing about this tip? Fresh baked cookies in record time and without a dirty dish to show for it!
